London FoodTech Week is coming to London 16th-23rd October and we're pleased to be part of it.
Join us for dinner, drinks & a chance to meet others working in, and interested in, food and foodtech. The after dinner talk will be on successfully crowdfunding your business – and we’ll be telling both sides of the tale.
We’re joined by Michael Wilkinson, Head of Equity Investments at Crowdcube, Ben Pugh, founder at FarmDrop and Oliver Pugh (no relation)!, founder and CEO at EarlyBird who successfully funded their businesses using crowdfunding. You can read their bio’s below.
Expect the nitty gritty details and first hand accounts of the highs and lows you can only get from an informal conversation with the people that provide the platform and those that have used it. Bring your questions and your appetite!
Crowdcube has an amazing track record for funding in the food and drink sector, with 82 successful funded businesses, raising £29.4m from over 16,000 investments. 2015 has already seen 37 successful raises, raising £16.3m. It's an ideal platform to raise in the sector, but not just for startups - of all the successful food & drink raises, 23 were for startups, 37 early stage, and 22 growth stage.
Join us for a chance to meet others working and interested in food and foodtech and those with fundraising on their minds, as well to hear from Michael and Oliver over dinner.
The cost includes private dining experience with speaker, 2 course dinner with wine plus highly curated and relevant networking.
Proud to partner with Alma CG.

P.S. TableCrowd are offering complimentary cab rides home (£15) thanks to their partner, Gett (Get Taxi!) on first download of the app. Details on the night.

Following a decade working in finance analysing other people's companies he left Morgan Stanley in 2012 to start his own. He founded FarmDrop in an attempt to re-humanise the UK Food Chain by bringing the makers and eaters of real food together online in a way that provides everyone with a better deal.
