The dining room is urban yet cosy, with a relaxed and unpretentious feel, and the seasonal menu changes often enough to provide even the most regular visitor with variety. The kitchen explores not only the Western world, but also the more exotic flavours of Africa and the Pacific Rim, and the menu features some unusual meats. For oenophiles, Vivat Bacchus is sheer heaven, with over 15,000 bottles, ranging from well-known French favourites to boutique vintages, any of which can be enjoyed alongside the best of the famous walk-in cheese room, with its incredible range of cheeses from the world’s finest producers. November 2005 saw the opening of Vivat Bacchus Wine Bar, a spectacular steel, wood and glass structure with cellars and a cheese room. It includes a dedicated tasting room, the setting for the VB Wine Club that meets on Mondays.
