The recently refurbished Cape Town Fish Market restaurant has a prime London location, just off Oxford Circus, and an excellent selling point – brilliant, fresh seafood. This popular South African chain pride themselves on everything fishy; if it swims or scuttles in the ocean, you’ll find it at Cape Town Fish Market. A selection of steak, lamb and chicken options are also on offer for those who prefer land-dwelling foods. The décor is sleek and modern – the ground floor dining room features high ceilings and is dotted with fish tanks, and the basement is all exposed brick and high backed banquettes. A typical meal here might start with grilled baby squid with robata sauce, followed up by a serve of ultra-fresh sashimi or some rainbow rolls. If you can’t decide on a main, a combo plate (calamari and squid, or surf and turf, for example) might be in order. Pick a bottle from the all South African wine list, or a classic cocktail, then relax, sit back and enjoy!
