Andy started his career in food when a side project, Snaffling Pig, went from kitchen table to nationally listed brand via a successful appearance on Dragons' Den. After leaving Snaffling Pig he decided sell his stake and to focus on plant based brands - he's currently partner and commercial director of Biff's Kitchen, which has gone from street food to be available in restaurants across the country via some major foodservice listings, in addition to their own outlets which includes a partnership with Brewdog. Aside from Biff's Andy is a NED, advisor and investor to a number of brands including OGGS and Olly's Olives. As a serial food focused entrepreneur, Andy will be talking through the lessons he's learnt, and how they might help turbo charge the growth of your own FMCG startup.

Who is Andy Allen?
Andy is an experienced food entrepreneur. After running an advertising agency, a food side project, Snaffling Pig, rapidly became an obsession and led to a complete change of career. The Snaffling Pig grew to a widely distributed brand with a successful appearance on Dragons' Den. Now with focus on plant based products, Andy is partner of leading vegan 'junk' brand Biff's Kitchen, NED for Olly's Olives and Spare Snacks, and an investor and advisor for OGGS and Humble Acre. He also sits on the executive committee of Arena, The Hospitality Network, and presents the Young Foodies 'Blue Plaster Podcast'.

After running an advertising agency, a food side project rapidly became an obsession and led to a complete change of career. That side project was Snaffling Pig, which grew to a widely distributed brand via to a successful appearance on Dragons' Den.

After leaving Snaffling Pig, Andy decided to focus on plant based products. He's currently partner of leading vegan 'junk' brand Biff's Kitchen, NED for Olly's Olives and Spare Snacks, and an investor and advisor for OGGS and Humble Acre. He also sits on the executive committee of Arena, The Hospitality Network, and presents the Young Foodies 'Blue Plaster Podcast'.

In Andy’s role at Snaffling Pig, that straddled CMO and Creative Director, he led all creative output for the brand from scratch, creating a brand that breathed life into what was a forgotten category. Andy or the team won awards such as Winner Virgin Foodpreneur 2017, Thames Valley Game Changer 2017, #55 in StartUp100s, Top 10 in Food, Awarded 9 Great Taste Awards and the winner of Buckinghamshire's Best New Business 2016.
