Enjoy dinner drinks and a chance to meet…
Matt Allen is CEO of Pivot Power, a business developing the world-first grid charged battery network. The batteries bring valuable flexibility to the grid, enabling it to make use of increasing volumes of renewable energy. Backed by renewables investment company Downing, Pivot Power is working closely with the UK’s power transmission network (National Grid) on what is expected to be a £1.6bn project to put in place the 2GW network. Each battery would make money from grid services and energy trading, but they can also be used for electric vehicle charging – charging a car park of cars in minutes, much more cheaply than current providers. Matt will be sharing all on building a commercial business with sustainability at its heart.
