Warren Paull, Managing Consultant at Commercial Outcomes, first joined us for dinner back in March when Jim Kite from Starcom MediaVest Group was talking about connecting established brands with startups over dinner. Fast forward a few months and Warren now has a fair few dinners under his belt, with the latest being the dinner with Freelancer‘s Joe Griston covering the companies story from tech startup to IPO. Here, Warren talks to us about his business Commercial Outcomes (COL), and what it does for its clients.

What’s the elevator pitch for your business?
Deliver the vision – integrated commercial support for senior leaders. COL brings together the best of management consultancy, marketing agency and digital workshop to offer cross-functional consulting expertise across sales & marketing, people, process and technology. We support our clients further with an integrated supply chain for development and implementation of a wide range of ambitious commercial projects and products.

What were you doing before you launched your company?
9-5 marketing man.

If you have co-founders, where did you meet them?
The graduate scheme I started my career on.

What’s your biggest ‘hindsight’ moment?
Pragmatism is your friend and you should embrace it at every opportunity.

What will the rest of 2016 bring?
Expanding the non-exec team and closing two large target clients we’re very eager to work with, as well as launching a new app in the legal sector we’ve developed in-house.

One piece of advice for someone starting a business in your sector?
Processes may be dull but they are very important.

Convince someone to use your product/service in under 50 words.
Deliver your vision.
