Coworking – Spotlight on East One Studios from Ben Hodges
Following our dinner for founders and managers of coworking spaces in July, we wanted to find out more about some of the spaces that were represented at the dinner and share them with you. If you are looking for a home for you or your team, hopefully this will help!
What’s the elevator pitch for your coworking space?
We provide a productive, vibrant and cooperative environment in which to grow your business and flourish amongst other like minded people.
What were you doing before this?
I used to run a catering company and manage event bars predominantly for Secret Cinema. What’s your biggest ‘hindsight’ moment?
Really obvious one but always write down any verbal agreement you make. People remember different versions of telephone conversations.
What will the rest of 2014 bring?
A little respite, a new business and holidays.
1 piece of advice for someone starting a coworking space?
Don’t do it, there are already too many, its not worth it.
Explain why a startup might want to join your space in under 50 words.
There are a lot of different businesses at East One Studios which all benefit from sharing ideas and problems. By having a range of people from PR to music, fashion, events, travel and tech there is always someone who knows things that you may not.
