We’ll enjoy dinner, drinks & a chance to meet other entrepreneurs in the sector, followed by an after-dinner talk and informal Q&A with James Shillcock founder of Vivid Drinks. James will talk about his experiences with Vivid Drinks, together with valuable insights for upcoming startups in the industry.

This dinner is for people who are passionate about drinks, food, taste and brand building, for people who love experimenting with flavours and who want to make something big and globally recognised. Most importantly, it’s for those who want to surround themselves with like-minded people to build a network of others with same dreams and same love for taste.

James used to work for an independent tea company called We Are Tea where he was selling premium whole leaf and loose leaf teas to lots of different retailers. One day he discovered some matcha green tea and started blending it up with fresh lime, ginger and honey. It turned out to be a great, healthy, all-natural, naturally energising drink. That’s where the idea originally came from back in summer 2013.

Vivid Drinks had a phenomenal start. Vivid launched very successfully with Whole Foods and Planet Organic and have since gone into other great stores like Selfridges and Harvey Nicks. Vivid drinks range have picked up about 300 independents around the UK and have now gone into Waitrose as well. Sales within each store are growing and Whole Foods has said that Vivid Drinks have been the most successful tea-based drink that it’s seen in its stores.
