TableCrowd’s Food Startups “Meet & Eat”
Last night we turned Central Working at Google Campus into an after hours restaurant to host the first in a series of industry dinners, TableCrowd’s Food Startups “Meet & Eat”. A dinner for London’s food startups to break bread, network, share contacts & experiences.
35 diners joined the dinner comprising London’s hottest food startups, each with a food or tech journalist, PR or blogger guest. For the startups, it was a great networking opportunity and for their guests, a one off opportunity to meet everyone on the scene in one night.
We were joined by:
– TableCrowd
– Melba
– Edible Experiences
– Dine In
– Lime & Tonic
– Flavrbox
– Great British Chefs
– PretAChef
– Menu Spring
– Dinnr
– GrubClub
And their guests from: Tech City News, Evening Standard, Guardian, The Next Web, 100-Million.com, LikeLoveBuy, The [Foodie] Collective, Food For Thought, Amazing PR, Monocle, Food Urchin, OmNom, audience.io & 3460 Miles.
There were pre-dinner drinks allowing everyone to circulate and mingle and then the first course was served as canapés. The food was by food startup, CookIt, which was no mean feat as the kitchen facilities at Central Working are not quite what you would expect when catering for so many guests! It was a North African – Middle Eastern Menu, inspired by the team at CookIt’s Turkey, Lebanon & Morroco friends.
We sat down for the main course for a chance to speak more deeply to the other guests on your table.
A big thanks to artwork sponsor, nerv and event sponsor Taylor Wessing for being part of the first in series of dinners for startups. The next dinner will be for fashion startups – date to be announced soon.
