#BusinessSpotlight on Natalia Obolensky of CitySwish
With our next Digital Beauty Dinner on the horizon, we caught up with Co-founder & CEO of CitySwish, Natalia Obolensky. After attending the Getting into Glossys dinner with Sarah Jossel from Glamour Magazine, we wanted to find out more about CitySwish and how they have changed they way we purchase beauty and leisure.
What’s the elevator pitch for your business?
CitySwish brings on-demand massage, beauty and hair dressing services to your office, home or hotel, in as little as 60 minutes.
What were you doing before you launched your company?
I was a management consultant at Bain & Company, and also co-founded another venture called the B.Bureau.
If you have co-founders, where did you meet them?
Leisha and I met at Insead where we both studied for our MBAs. We lived together during our last 4 months, which is when the foundations of CitySwish were born!
What’s your biggest ‘hindsight’ moment?
I think my biggest hindsight moment was when I realised that we had actually started a real business, with real customers, real investors and real cash flows! It sounds silly, but we started out with just an idea and really hadn’t realised that we were fully fledged entrepreneurs until quite far on.
What will the rest of 2015 bring?
The launch of our app, geographic expansion and some new exciting services.
One piece of advice for someone starting a business in your sector?

In the wellbeing sector, my favourite startup is probably Headspace – finding time to relax and unwind whether through meditation is so important!
What’s your favourite London restaurant?
I love Sticks’n’Sushi in Covent Garden!
What’s your favourite meal?
I love a seafood platter with a nice glass of white wine.
