First Start Up Engine Dinner at Giant Robot
Firstly, let me say thank you to every one that attended. I understand that being involved, especially as a founder, in a start up in an incredibly time demanding occupation – but I think as the evening demonstrated, taking time away from the screen to sit down and chew the fat with fellow entrepreneurs is time well spent.
The overriding success of the night, was the atmosphere of exchange, openness and support that was almost instantly kindled between those that attended. I think it is a sign of London’s tech community as a whole – it encourages those involved to a community – one that shares the ambition of creating companies that use innovation and great technology to solve real world problems. This synergy was shared over burgers, chips and a few cocktails.
This will be the first ‘Start Up Engine’ table of many. I would like to think that through TableCrowd, a start up itself, we can build a crowd that will buttress the goals of the Silicon Roundabout and provide framework where over food, progress can be made.
