Join us for dinner, drinks & a chance to meet fellow entrepreneurs, followed by an after-dinner talk and informal Q&A with Adrian Lloyd, who’ll provide a refreshingly honest, entrepreneurial and fresh view on how to capture the attention of a venture capitalist.
Adrian is a Founder Partner of Episode 1. He has worked for startups and multi-nationals and has founded his own businesses, but loves nothing more than finding and supporting the UK’s best entrepreneurs. He is the young buck in the Episode 1 – fresh(ish) off the boat from California.
Episode 1 Ventures invests in seed and Series A rounds of up to £2m in software-driven businesses with the potential to transform industries. They like entrepreneurs that are data-driven. But above all they like people with passion and ambition, that can execute at speed and overcome significant hurdles along the way.
They are building a portfolio of companies that are using software technology to disrupt their chosen marketplaces. They like to play an active role in helping the companies that they invest in, at least until our companies have secured one or more later financing rounds. They see every investment as a partnership even sharing their office with a number of portfolio companies.
Take this opportunity to gain some invaluable face time with Adrian over dinner and discuss some of the ideas you have been working on.
Proud to partner with Taylor Wessing.
Price includes private dining experience with after dinner speaker, 2 course dinner with wine and highly curated and relevant networking.

Adrian is a Founder Partner of Episode 1. He has worked for startups and multi-nationals and founded his own businesses, but loves nothing more than finding and supporting the UK’s best entrepreneurs. He is the young buck in the partnership – fresh(ish) off the boat from California where he completed his MBA at Stanford in 2010.
Before co-founding Episode 1 he worked in online and offline startups whilst also investing in early stage software in the UK for a Swiss family office. Adrian’s professional background prior to joining the startup world was in management and strategic consulting for Marakon Associates. He worked across multiple industries in Europe and Asia, where he founded Marakon’s China office (because he speaks Chinese, wanted to start something up in a risk-adjusted way and likes an adventure). Adrian is married with two daughters and a son all under the age of 4 (yes, he admits a certain lack of good decision-making on that one) and a four year old Boxer, the easiest of the lot by far. When not reading up on personalisation, collaborative consumption or enterprise software he bikes a lot, plays tennis a lot, drinks a lot of Chinese & Japanese tea and excellent coffee (he's an investor in Blue Bottle coffee) and cooks a lot (using SimplyCook packs). Given his wife is an abstract artist, he also tries to decipher art a lot too. Adrian received his MBA from Stanford University in 2010 and his Masters degree from Oxford University in Chinese Studies in 2003. Adrian is half Swiss, so he’s generally punctual and precise and can be influenced by good quality chocolate as long as it’s 80%+ cocoa.
This dinner is hosted by one of TableCrowd's wonderful hosts. She'll be looking after you on the night.
